HOW TO PREPARED A PROJECT

The step you need to follow in setting up
a project is similar to those above. But a project runs over a longer time and you may be working with larger group of people.
  • Plan clearly identify your aim. Don't make it too larger, or you may be discourage before you have finished. If finding out about your aim involves an experiment, then make sure you set up a fair test by controlling variables.
  •  Gather information. Decide where you  will  look for information. It can come from books, people, CD ROMs, or the internet. Divide the work between members of the group. Try to identify with the group of parts of the project and will you complete each step. This is called ' setting deadlines.’ It is important that team members keep to the deadlines.   Gathering information may involved doing experiments, making and testing models, collecting and classifying living things, or researching historical and other information.
  • Interpret your results. You can look at the Dealing with Data study pages for help with this. You may also have found opinions  that are different; now you have to decide how to present them in a fair way. Set down your results and the conclusions you can draw.
  • Report your findings. Try to use a variety of presentations, including charts, discussions, talks, typed reports using word-processing programs, and spreadsheets. Again, divide the work to be done between the group members and set up deadlines for completion.
